The weekend that was...

...fun, tiring, butterfly filled, jam packed, and over.

I helped a friend this weekend, by baking. That's my favourite kind of helping!
I made these:For a one year old's Butterfly themed birthday party. It was my first time making the icing and it was easier than I thought, and it worked out quite well. It was not the first time making the biscuits, and this time the dough worked out much better than last time. I still have half the dough in my fridge to make some for Baz and the kids (who complained and whined when told they couldn't have any until the party).

I also made these:
To go with this:
Which was also made by me, for the present.
It's a "feeding" pillow, for said one year old to lie on while feeding herself.

My first idea (thanks to some input from friends and family) was to make a wall hanging for her room, so I also made that...
It's been fun, however tired I might be now, it was worth it! I really do enjoy making, baking and creating! But the thing I love the most, is thinking about how God felt after He created the earth, the animals and fish, the birds, the plants, humans... If I feel elated at my tiny pieces of creation, how much more thrilled must He have been, and still is. I'm marveling at His handiwork!
