SO bubba Zschech #3 is only 4ish weeks away from her due date, and the more I think about it, the more impatient I get waiting for her.
After the week we've just had sorting and organising the bedrooms, the toys and the lounge/dining room, it's safe to say its not me that is nesting... Yes I did tag along on the adventure, but it was Baz driving the cleaning force through the house. He's the one that did most of the work "reclaiming" the house from clutter, rubbish, excess toys and disorganisation. He did a great job too. Mostly I was the "yes/no" person as to what to keep, and I washed/hung/folded and put away the clothes (at 8 baskets and 2 hampers full of clean washing, it was a mammoth effort by me).
I did do something quite nesting-ish... I washed all bubs things in Lux flakes... the smell is SO wonderful. I love that it just brings to mind the memories of my other 2 as small and dependant on me... unlike nowadays, both are quite independent, and no longer need mummy to hold their hands, half the time I'm not even allowed to pour their drinks cause "mummy, I can do it myself".
Its also getting a lot more real for Baz. He is getting excited, and is looking forward to holding his precious new bundle. I showed him one of the newborn nappies I packed into her bag yesterday, and he says he doesnt remember our babies being THAT small. I remember that Piper was so small that the nappies barely fit her gangly little legs! He had also forgotten the movements, bub is running out of room and every little movement is a ripple on my belly. It really is the best part of pregnancy, besides the baby at the end!
I have put in much effort into her "Crafty" themed baby shower, and have some previews for you to see.
I hope it all comes together the way I expect it to. I've been planning this girls shower for almost as long as I have been pregnant (ok, maybe not that long, but you get the idea). Anyway, enjoy the pics, more to come AFTER saturday.
